My wife and I went to Bymark last night before the CSNY concert and it was quite impressive.
I've heard a lot of rumblings from chowhounds and others that Summerlicious and Winterlicious are a terrible time to go to a good restaurant.
However, apart from the fact that it felt a little like a cattle call at the front door, our experience there was excellent. Our server Christina was very helpful and accomodating. It did seem like the pace of service was a tad hurried, though.
I think that the Bymark deal is fantastic, by the way. For $35, we had their famous Burger (which is normally $36.95 itself), crab cakes to start and a dulce de leche mousse cake with blood orange sauce to finish. All food was delicious as expected and the burger was particularly memorable. They must be using prime rib or tenderloin with added fat to make it so juicy and soft. The onion rings with it were some of the best I've ever had, with a crunchy and greaseless tempura batter.
I can't wait for our dinner at Corner House next.
