I'm learning to buy and cook fish, trying to have a healthier diet. I went to the stores armed with one of those lists of endangered fish/sustainable fish.
I was actually surprised to see that in most cases, it's really impossible to find out where and how the fish was caught. Both Citarella and Fairway use some specifics in the labels, but in most cases it's just the name of the fish.
Are there other stores that have better information? Or is this a losing battle?
