A very nice person next to me at Molinari's this morning was looking for prosciutto bones. Molinari says they no long sell them. The bones are removed before the ham is cured.

I passed along the Chowhound website and said I would ask if anyone knew a store in the area that still sells the bones. I'm hopeful that someone can help out this new reader of Chowhound.
