Back in the day (of dinosaurs), when I moved into my new home in the South Bay, I used to stop into this little oddball food shop in Harbor City called Le Chef. They sold these prepared chicken cordon bleus, beef tournedos, chicken stuffed with shrimp and garlic butter, etc.... They were great because, after a looong, busy day all you had to do was stick a couple of these babies in the oven, make a quick salad and *voila* you had a great meal with minimal effort. Needless to say, Le Chef closed down a few years ago (probably due to its oddball location in Harbor City) and I haven't found anything quite like it since. I've tried the meat/deli counters at Henry's and Pavillions, but it's not the same.
Anyone have a good recommendation? I'm willing to travel.
