My daughter loves the roast duck you get in Chinese bbq joints - you know, the ones hanging in the window. They're $5.50 for 1/2, $10.50 whole. I usually go to Sam Woo's in LA, but there plenty of others.
I've never actually cooked duck at home, but when I'm at the butcher's an entire duck is never less than $13-14.
Do the chinese use a different duck, or do retailers just charge alot because duck doesn't, I'd imagine, sell alot?
