When to buy Demeyere Atlantis Cookware?

Hi,

I've been researching "forever cookware" for a while now, and have decided to start slowly investing in Demeyere Atlantis pieces one or two at a time. I already have the 9 in. Proline skillet (as it's been on sale on many sites for a couple of months), and am looking to add the 4.2 qt saute pan and maybe the 2.1 qt saucier. My question is when (and where) is the best time to buy? 

The linked thread seems to show that 20% + 20% off is pretty solid, but I can't seem to find that. I've read that they typically go on sale in the fall (which seems to be the case, as everything is 20% off at W-S and CandM); however, CandM doesn't seem to do coupon codes anymore, and the W-S additional 20% off excludes Demeyere. 

Any advice on when and where to get something along the lines of 20% + 20% off? Or is that kind of deal a thing of the past?

Demeyere does a traveling road show at Costco, where they have Atlantis cookware exclusively, I think. I picked up my 11 inch skillet there at a price that was better than the Zwillings sale price ($189, I think?). They also had some sauce pans and other things, the last time they were at my store in Washington state. They also have quite a few of the lower-than-Atlantis pieces on Costco.com right now. I sometimes wish I'd bought the 12 inch Atlantis skillet and then bought one of the lower end sets. 

Love Demeyere. My other stainless is really nice, but I've found nothing that sears a steak like my Atlantis! ;).

I bought the Proline skillet for my niece on Knifemerchant.com. I really strongly recommend NOT purchasing anything from Williams-Sonoma. Their customer service is the absolute worst I have experienced in many many years. I normally stick with customer-centric companies such as Amazon, BBB, etc. I always check Better Business Bureau when I make purchases and Williams-Sonoma does not fare well there (strange that they have an A- rating when it should be much lower).


Knifemerchant was fine for the Proline. I had no issues. For the rest of the Demeyere that I purchased, I used BBB. Their customer service is wonderful and I had no issues with the orders.

I started last fall or so on beginning my collection so I can tell you the deal. I did a lot of research/looking since at those prices I'm not able to just go splurge on buying whatever I wanted and I didn't really want it to take forever to get a set together one by one over a really extended period of time. 
I purchased a couple pieces last fall when they had a 20% off manufacturer's discount sale across most sites and got 20% off via Bed Bath and Beyond (BB&B) (you can get their coupons if you sign up for their mailing list.) I think this is the 20% +20% you are referring to or saw people referring to. If the coupons don't work online, you can probably use them by going into a store and have customer service order for you since they don't carry the pieces in store.

I don't believe I've seen the same manufacturer's 20% off sale this fall at all so it seems it may have been a chance occurance or may just be totally random and unpredictable. Prices were cheaper last year with the 20% off than they have been this fall. But I would follow Kaleo's advice and sign up for Zwilling's notices. 

However, it may be useful to know that the try me priced pieces did not get discounted any further even during the manufacturer's 20% off sale because they are already at discounted try me prices, so there's no reason to wait for a sale on those pieces - they are the 2.3 saucepan, 3 qt sauté, 9.4" proline, and 3.5 qt saucier, and the prices have stayed the same on those since last year at least. Same deal with the try me priced Industry/5Plus line pieces- those didn't go down further.

I believe there are also 2 Zwilling outlet stores you can try calling, but I don't know what they carry and how their discounts are. 
I don't know where you are located and this doesn't really help you now because this year's dates have passed and you would have to wait until next year, but Zwilling has a yearly warehouse sale around Thanksgiving if you are located anywhere near Westchester, NY. I think I found out about it when I saw someone mention it here in an old post here when I was researching last fall. I was able to get a number of pieces I wanted this fall at great prices.
