I'm looking for a source of crawfish tails or whole crawfish, to use in a great crawfish cornbread dressing recipe (from Paul Prudhomme's first cookbook). In the past I have been successful at Bread and Circus /Whole Foods, and also Marty's, but this year none of them have it (although, mysteriously, Whole Foods has crawfish salad). Sometimes I've gotten the frozen tail meat and fat, once in a package from a Lousiana crawfish company, labeled "product of China", so I don't think the Louisiana disaster is going to make it impossible this year, but I don't know. If I can find the whole critters I'm happy to pick the meat myself. I've found crawfish meat on the web, but the prices are high and the shipping is exhorbitant. Any tips for a local Boston/western suburbs source would be great. I also tried the 88, with no success. Any sightings?
