Where to Buy Christmas Cookies

Daniel | Dec 15, 200409:15 AM

When I was a kid my mom used to buy christmas cookies from a local bakery. They were cut-outs in holiday shapes (Xmas Trees, Santas, Xmas Stars etc) with a hard white glazed frosting and colored granulated sprinkles. They also had a bit of anise & vanilla flavoring.

I've seen all kinds of holiday cookies in Chicago bakeries, but I've rarely seen these. Any thoughts on where I might find something similar? My preference is the Northside, but I'm willing to travel anywhere in the Chicago area,
