Where to buy baby artichokes?

San Francisco Bay Area Artichoke Where to Buy...

I'm pretty sure this is the season, but i haven't found them anywhere yet. I'm in SF, but would drive other places for them too. Anyone know where? thanks!

    I'm trying to remember where I've bought them. I think your best bet is Alemany farmers' market (you can probably get them from Iacopi at the Ferry Building markets, but they'll cost an arm and a leg). Berkeley Bowl probably has them (note: remember you can easily BART to Berkeley Bowl, as it's only a couple of blocks from the Ashby BART station). IIRC Trader Joe's often has them in season.
