We are getting ready to remodel our kitchen and spent several hours in a test kitchen that featured Wolf and other top brand appliances. We have been wanting a Wolf range for years and were not disappointed....until we received the quote. $12,000 for a new 48" dual fuel double oven and double griddle range.
Looking at our local classifieds we saw a 60" Wolf Double Oven range with a french top for $3,500 manufactured in 1997.

Couple of questions:
1. We are preferring the double griddle, not the french top, I understand that the burner conversions are not possible, but has anyone removed the french top and added the griddle top while still keeping the single burner in the middle?
2. A 1997 model is nearly 20 years old. This one has been in storage since 2012 and appears to be in great condition. Is $3,500 a good value even for its age?
