Occasionally I bake a pound cake which calls for one cup of buttermilk. I can find buttermilk only in one quart cartons. Can I freeze the left-over portion and use itl ater? How long will it last in the freezer? Thank you for your help.
PS: The pound cake i bake is in the new version of Fannie Farmer's Baking Book--Lemon-Buttermilk Pound Cake. My family and I find it delicious.
