I am going to try a buttercream recipe for the decorations on a cake. Both recipes I'm considering (one is for "easy vanilla bean buttercream frosting" but I'm leaning towards the "swiss meringue buttercream" ) specify a standard mixer with whisk attachment, then later a paddle attachment. I don't have those fancy tools. i have a plain old hand mixer. Will this present a problem?
I'm no expert on this so I appreciate the word of experience.
