hi all... found a recipe for pie crust that calls for butter powder. from what I have found on the www is that butter powder was "created" for the processed food industry to add shelf-stable buttery flavor to foods.. this kind of creeps me out... is this stuff like that freakish, cheese powder that comes in a box of kraft mac'n'cheese???
does it taste good? the recipe calls for crisco and butter powder... would i be better off taste wise to just use butter instead?
