using both butter and Crisco in a recipe?

I would like to make a pound cake that calls for 1 cup of butter. I only have a stick and a half (3/4 c. ) though =/ so I was thinking, if shortening is used as a butter sub sometimes, could I just use a 1/4 c. vegetable shortening in place of the missing butter? what d'ya think? will it be alright?
