I'm not sure what happened to Butcher's Cafe (9th and Christian). We've had great dinners here before. This time we were seated an hour after our reservation. While we were waiting in the doorway, the smoke alarms went off. By the time we were seated they had run out of almost all of the entrees. The bread came out so cold it was almost frozen. I stuck with some appetizers - the antipasto and mussels red were very good. Other people in our party had chicken parm and seafood ravioli in a cream sauce. They said the ravioli was "to die for." Maybe the ravioli was, but the overall experience wasn't. The desserts were the same frozen tiramisu and rock hard frozen lemon ice.
