Butcher Shop

The Scribe | Feb 10, 2005 01:28 PM

I had the pleasure of stopping in at The Butcher Shop in the South End on a recent snowy night for a late night snack. I'd never been there before. This really is a butcher shop, but when you walk in you think you are in a lounge/wine bar/restaurant. Very cool. Real meat in the fridge at the back. I didn't eat much more than a nice salad, a cup of tea and bread/olive oil, but the menu looked very quirky and I would love to go back and try more. That night, I was going to share a salad with my friend, and our waiter (Brian) overheard us discussing this. He soon emerged with two salads and said, "Here is a second salad, compliments of the kitchen." How cool is that. Has anyone else experienced The Butcher Shop?
