Seems to have more worthwhile dining options than a town its size should have. I've tried Butch's and can recommend it, where else should I try? Because of my crazy work hours, I can't travel too far (or else I'd dine in GR every night). I see on earlier threads that Beechwood Inn, Blue House Bistro, Pereddie's are recommended, keep the suggestions coming.

More specifically, there seem to be a lot of places catering to the local Mexican population. I've tried Taqueria Azteca (muy auténtico) on the north side and can recommend it too. Any other suggestions, maybe even one with (gasp) a liquor license?

Also: lodging. Best Western has already lost its charm. CityFlats Hotel looks nice, maybe a little too Ava Gardner (avant-garde -- get it? Ha ha ha) for my taste. Is there a nice B&B, maybe one on the lakefront, not too far from town?

Many thanks for any suggestions. I've never been led astray by anyone from Chowhound, so everyone keep up the good work.
