Hi - I'm a longtime Boston chowhound who will be in Montreal for 5 days next week for a conference. I've enjoyed reading all your posts and have already made a reservation at Brunoise for me and my husband. Now I'm looking for a good choice for a dinner for me and some business friends to expense-account. Although I love to try local flavors and enjoy the hometown favorites, some of them are a little tentative when it comes to new foods. I made two reservations for that night already to cover my bases - Au Pied de cochon and Toque. The first really appeals to me, but I'm thinking the second might be better for a less adventurous crowd. Any thoughts? Any better recommendations? BYOB isn't optimal for this meal. We're staying at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth and we're willing to take a cab for a great meal.
