A group is meeting in NYC over the weekend of March 11-13 for an association meeting. We want to have a celebratory dinner on Saturday night. The meeting is being held at the Intercontinental Barclay Hotel (Lexington at 49th) and we would prefer to walk to our dinner location. While price is not critical, this is a not-for-profit group so we want to keep the tab within reason.
I have been chosen to make the arrangements because of my choices in the past. I have relied on Chowhound for those ideas (I am a Boston Hound). HELP!
There will be about 12 of us (give or take) and there may be some picky folks involved. Thus, we need a broad menu, not something too specialized.
There are many restaurants in that area and I need advice as to what is good, who can accomodate a group of this sort, and who charges a reasonable price.
Many thanks in advance.
