I'd never heard of burrata until lunchtime today. Y'know how, when you're eating good food, it makes you reminisce about other good food? Anyway, at a group luncheon, one of my co-workers was waxing poetic about a cheese called burrata, which she described as fresh mozzarela, stuffed with butter. She'd been served it at the home of an Italian friend's parents and thinks it was probably home-made. From her description, I just know I need to try it.
Has anyone out there ever heard of this? Actually eaten it? Do you know where to find it in Manhattan?
