burning hands

moptop27 | Aug 30, 2011 06:29 PM

After peeling onions, must have been the hot ones, rings were bothering me,so I took them off and washed, but then my hands started to burn,re-washed and re-washed again, finally put oil on them,it made them worst,so I poured Lime juice on them and the burning stopped, later on I noticed (by rubbing my tooth with finger) which was a bad mistakes, that I still had some under fingernail, burning mouth now, rubbed lime juice on my mouth and it was gone, still a little afraid to do anything with my hands.
I can't wear gloves unless they are cotton, and who would think of wearing gloves, but I will not touch another onion without cotton gloves.Sure hope this helps others.
