After peeling onions,must have been the hot ones, rings were bothering me,so I took them off and washed,but then my hands started to burn,re-washed and re-washed again,finally put oil on them,it made them worst,so I poured Lime juice on them and the burning stopped,later on I noticed (by rubbing my tooth with finger) which was a bad mistakes,that I still had some under fingernail,burning mouth now,rubbed lime juice on my mouth and it was gone,still a little afraid to do anything with my hands.
I can't wear gloves unless they are cotton,and who would think of wearing gloves,but I will not touch another onion without cotton gloves.Sure hope this helps others.
