Ate at Burma in Chinatown today for lunch...pretty decent...started with potato triangles, little pastries stuffed with a potato puree with a dipping sauce, one half duck sauce the other red chili. Next had sauted squid, with onions and ham, also decent, the squid was a tad chewy but not unpleasently so, tasty soy based sauce, mixed with the left over chili sauce give it some zing. My friend had curry chiken with potato, three large chicken thighs with a curry sauce. Looked like the sauce was made with curry powder as opposed to curry in the Indian style. Service was efficient and prices ran $5/6 for apps, mostly $7/8 for main course. Burma had a fairly large menu so if I was in Chinatown again it would be worth exploring again but in the realm of Asian food I think I prefer places like Malaysia Kopitiam or Spices.
