I'm looking for the best big, thick juicy burger I can get in St. Louis. My favorite for most of my life has been the cheddarburger at The Fatted Calf, medium-rare with a char. But I fear that with the ownership change last year, the patties got smaller and the cooking less consistent. I am not looking for a thin, fastfood burger like Steak'n'Shake or White Castle, though I'll admit they hit the spot at certain latenight times. I don't tolerate smoke or ridiculous attitude, so O'Connell's is out. Points for flame-grilled, accurate cooking to order, and the closer to Clayton the better. Is Blueberry Hill my best alternative?
