You could tell by the enticing smell of meat on a charcoal grill wafting through the lobby that we were getting close to the right place, but we still had to search for the little neon sign near the velvet curtain. I grabbed a couple of seats at the counter while he stood in line and put in our order. We were both blown away by the burgers - hand-formed burgers, cooked to order and dressed with crisp, iceberg lettuce, thinly-sliced onions, mayo, mustard and ketchup - in my opinion, far superior to those at the Shake Shack.
So thanks, NYC 'hounds, for steering us to this wonderful place!
