Do you guys have any recommendations for really good burger (or dog/sausage) buns? I'm looking for an alternative to the mass-produced, soft, trans-fat-filled grocery store offerings.
I find that most Acme (and the like) products are a little too tough to easily, cleanly get a bite of burger (and cheese, and bacon, and tomato, etc.) along with my bun -- BUT I haven't really done enough research in this important field.
Any recommendations? Something soft-ish, but still with some good, made-in-a-real-bakery character is what I'm looking for. Just planning my 4th of July menu....
