I don't belive I've seen mention of The Riverside Cafe when discussions of where to eat in Burbank have come up. I've now had both lunch and dinner there an both meals were quite good. A couple months back I had duck for dinner and SO had lamb. Lunch yesterday was a grilled eggplant sandwich on home made white bread. Would have preferred a paninni for the eggplant(which they don't have) but the bread was very good and the eggplant expertly grilled and sauced w/a nice vinegarette. Toddler had a grilled cheese shaped like Minnie Mouse and some fantastic frites. I've heard their onion soup is must have and several diners were eating such when I was there yesterday. It's also open for breakfast, which I'll have to check out. It's a very small place with some seating outdoors and a few tables inside. There's plenty of street parking. It's at Riverside and Mariposa - 1221 W Riverside Drive 818 563-3567.
