Bun Pho Phu Hai (Vaughan Mills)

I had read alot of good reviews on this Vietnamese restaurant so decided to try it yesterday. Had a small pho with rare beef and beef balls and a red bean/green bean drink with jelly. The pho was very good, they gave us alot of basil and "ngo gai" which I rarely see at other pho places. Basil was also very fresh looking. They also put cilantro in the soup and green onions which again, I rarely see at other pho places. There were alot of noodles and beef for a small size. Soup was flavorful, not greasy at all.

The drink was disappointing though. They served it in a plastic bubble tea cup with the rounded lid and a short plastic spoon which is nearly impossible to eat with. The red beans were really kidney beans and the yellow beans were not mung beans, rather some other kind of bean. And the beans were too sweet.

Restaurant was clean and service pretty good - we went during non peak hours so very customers were there. Overall, I liked this restaurant alot. I'd go there again. But only if I were in the area.
