Buffalo Wild Wings coming to Marlboro

MarlboroMan | Jan 31, 201609:04 PM 5
New Jersey Buffalo Restaurant Openings

I found this quite by accident, from the blog theerichammer.com. Apparently the chain BWW is coming to Marlboro/Manalapan, although exactly where isn't mentioned. I'm guessing as part of the warehouse facility that was recently sold (with included liquor license).

I've been to BWW for wings about 5 times. The first 4 were in Eatontown and they were some of the saddest wings I've ever seen. Tiny, barely any meat on them and not very tasty.

The last time was in the New Brunswick area and the wings were actually a good size and pretty tasty.

But still, wings are some of the easiest and most consistent bar foods - almost all bars in our area have a pretty decent version, which is why it baffles me that people would flock to a restaurant whose namesake is pretty mediocre. But hey to each his own, it's a good place to watch PPV fights and beers are usually cheap.

ALL of my experiences with this brand has been the Eatontown location and as you stated the wings suck. lol I also don't care for their sauce, it's as if they paint the sauce or poor it on via a ladle or something, I prefer the wings to be tossed, evenly coated, but not soaked in sauce. Overall I rate their wings well below average.

For our area Jack's is generally considered the "king of wings', but I also think very highly of Houlihans wings. Both the wing and their buffalo sauce.

yCf I read somewhere that it will be at Route 9 south where that "Diamond Plaza" used to be.

My wife was so excited, she thought she had a new piece of "foodie" news for me, but I already knew about the BWW. She did say the same as you, it'll be where the former "Diamond Castle" or whatever it was, is.

I see they've begun work inside, but it doesn't seem big enough for a restaurant of that size. Of course, I've never actually been inside that particular store, so, who knows?

I've only been to a BWW once, the one in Eatontown. All I remember was how loud it was, too loud, and there pretty much wasn't a place to sit that wasn't within viewing distance of a TV.

I don't remember anything about the food. I know I had wings. I can't remember if I enjoyed them or not. :)
