Buffalo: the Park Lane, La Hacienda, and EE

Gypsy Boy | Aug 19, 200312:26 PM     2

Having long since been exiled from Buffalo (my Dad took a job in Rochester, of all places), it has literally been decades since I was there. But the job takes me there next week. I'll be staying downtown by the Federal Building (on Delaware) and have three questions:
1. Is the Park Lane still around and if so, is the food good?
2. When a child, we were regulars at an Italian place called La Hacienda (name notwithstanding). It was on Elmwood. I fear it has long since bit the dust (though I would be happy to be wrong) and so ask: where's the best pizza?
3. Any recommendations at all for good Eastern European will be welcomed: Polish, Czech, Hungarian, etc.
I promise to post my review(s) as my way to repay your kindness.
Thanks from the City of Big Shoulders (no, not Rochester).
