A little early in the season but I would like to suggest a really nice weekend get-away for the summer. Little town near the Indiana border is quite unique and fun. It seems more popular with the Chicago crowd but has a few hidden treasures. The Crepery, a small place run by husband and wife (French but very friendly) that serves the most wonderful crepes ever. (And I'm a meat and potatoes guy). Also, old Victorian house named Hanna's. American fare to die for. Fun, too. Town is close to Casino and excellent antiquing (Chesterton, IN.). Good hotel, Harbor Grand, with packages. Seasonal so I would call chamber of commerce for info. (616 469-5409) A good place for us foodies to have some fun, relax, and have some really great meals.
