Buck's Fishing and Camping (and Pillaging?)

I've been a few times now, and I just can't figure out what the deal is with Buck's (how did Sietsema rate it 3 stars?). The decor is nice and there's no glaring flaws in preparation, but the high prices of such underwhelming food at what's obstensibly a neighborhood restaurant are baffling. $7 for a plate of four deviled egg halves? The deviled eggs were totally plain and the "stuffed olives" they came with turned out to be three small green olives from a jar (Compare with 2 Amy's, where you can order a plate of deviled eggs with sublime salsa verde AND a large dish of beautiful oven roasted olives for a total of $8). And $8 for a wedge of iceberge lettuce? Is this a joke? The steak is now $38. A few of the other entrees (there weren't very many total) are $23-25. Am I missing something here? For some reason, I still want to like this place, but I can't fathom why I would ever go here again when I think of all the nearby choices where I could spend the same or much less (Palena's front room or Colorado Kitchen for starters) on food that's far better than Buck's.
