I like Bruno's for their (relatively) reasonable prices and high quality, including a reliable supply of rare roast beef ready to be sliced, a provision every American supermarket can provide but not our Canadian jokes.
Why do they build loyalty in a price-conscious era ? This afternoon is a good example. I had sliced my thumb knuckle earlier and it began to bleed profusely while I was in the St Clair/Yonge Bruno's. I wrapped a bank receipt around it so I could finish my shopping - but an attentive clerk spotted me, gave me tissue to clean the blood off, an antiseptic to disinfect and a bandage to cover it, which she insisted on putting on herself.
Now that is way beyond - and deserves this public kudos !
