Four of us had brunch at Thalia's this past Sunday. It is certainly a nice room. Bustling - big city. Black shirt waiters. Decent service. (had to ask for coffee refill). But I thought the food was just a cut above ordinary and for the price not worth the price for parking. My eggs benedict was good. Perfectly cooked but a little on the luke warm side. Ordinary sausage links on the side.
My wife had the crab/asparagus omelet. It was skimpy on the crab but tasty.
The lobster benedict was the best of the table. Good size pieces of lobster.
After hearing Rachael Ray go on about the best place in Manhattan for brunch, I thought it would nock my socks off. Maybe she just like the cmplimentary bloody mary or mimosa.
