Brunch in Portland, ME -- surprises!!!

Really wanted Brunch today, but wanted to go someplace that we don't normally go. Long story short, we ended up at Bibo's Madd Apple Cafe on Forest Ave. It was sooooooooo good, why have I not gone before? So good but so cheap! My fella had the fish cakes over greens. They were huge and seriously good with big chunks of fish. I had the Bagelwich (I'm a fiend for breakfast sandwiches) and this one came with canadian bacon, cheese and egg on a 158 (one fifty-ate) bagel. The bagel was huge and magnificant, but the eggs were so well seasoned ... why do all breakfast sandwiches not season the eggs?! It came with greens and AMAZING hashbrowns -- the potato pancake kind with onion in them, really brown on the outside. We added two mimosas and the total was a wopping $25.00. Everything really looked good. They serve lunch and dinner and I will definitely be back.

HOWEVER, there was another interesting twist to our visit. Right next door there was a new restaurant called "Afgan Restaurant". I hear they've been open for a week but know nothing else. I know there was an Afgan restaurant in Falmouth, is this the same place? Can't wait to try it regardless. It would be so cool to have a delicious Afgan restaurant two blocks from the delicious African restaurant (Asmara on Oak St). Yay Portland, ME!!! Please post if you've had a chance to try it.
