Brooklyn visit

Sue | May 8, 2003 08:12 PM

Thanks to all of you who recommended restaurants for my weekend in Brooklyn. We LOVE Brooklyn and can't wait to come back. We went to see Matisse/Picasso and both of us agreed that the exhibit was not the highlight. The food, neighborhoods, antiques and people were great. Our food tour included Smith Street Kitchen (which I think may be closed now) for Friday dinner, Junior's (where else) for breakfast, La Banania for late lunch, Queen for dinner (incredible) and Patois for Sunday brunch. All just excellent. I remember the halibut I had a Smith St. Kitchen with squash somehow wrapped around the outside and a wonderful frittata at Patois. We'll be back-way too many options for just one weekend!
PS You folks are so nice, friendly and helpful. Truly a pleasure for us Philly tourists.
PPS Where are the Brooklyn souvenirs? Not a magnet or snow globe to be had with the bridge on it-or even Coney Island!
