Brooklyn Supermakets

Hi All,

So, what's your favorite supermarket? I had given up on the idea of a really good supermarket in Brooklyn, feeling a little sorry for myself that I don't live within shouting distance of some of the food-mecca shopping places in Manhattan. Then I ran across a guy who is opening a gourmet food store in Park Slope (not sure when it's going to open, but he's renovating a store fron on Union Street just east of 7th Ave that used to be a pet food/supply store). I complained to him about the poor quality of grocery stores in Park Slope, and he said to try Steve's C-Town on 9th Street (btwn 6th & 7th Aves.). So I checked it out and sure enough it's better than the other local places (Key Food, Associated, and the big supermaret under the highway overpass, near Hamilton Parkway). It's good a lot of good looking produce, better than any other grocery store. Pretty spacious, and with good brands.
