Brooklyn street fairs this weekend- good news and bad news.

First, the bad news. I went to confirm the Atlantic Antic before I posted, only to find out that it's been CANCELLED this fall. I know it had been cancelled last September for obvious reasons, but then they rescheduled it last spring. Did they feel twice in one year was too much? Does anyone know why it was cancelled? I went to to look it up. The site still lists and thanks all the sponsors that would-have-been for this coming Sunday.

Then, the good news- especially considering that I just moved from State Street to Bay Ridge this year. The Third Avenue festival IS on this Sunday:
3rd Ave Festival : From 10 Am to 6 PM. 69th to 95th on 3rd Avenue.||| confirmed. I got a flyer last night in a store in the neighborhood that's chock full of sponsors and ads from restaurants. After having tried so many new places there, I'm very excited. I couldn't find a booth listing to comment on any restaurants there, but the flyer I have has an ad from Chopstix, Chadwick's, The Loft and Sweets-n-Nuts. The organizer's website does not list info for the 2002 events, rather it announces the 2000 event. I can't wait to check it out!

At least I won't have to decide which fair I'm going to this year.
