Brittle Jerky?

JessicaSophia | Jan 15, 2004 12:40 PM

I brought back some beef jerky from my favorite source, a divey liquor store in Santa Fe, but I forgot to put it in a ziplock bag and today, I discovered that it is all brittle and crunchy, not chewy and leathery like jerky is supposed to be.

Can this be salvaged? I was thinking of maybe putting it in a low oven nex to a bowl of water to rehydrate it, but I'm not sure if that will work.

Oh, well, maybe I can crumble it and use it as a garnish on soups or salads.
