bringing it down a notch - San Loco

Many years ago, before I moved to New York, I would come to the city each weekend from Boston and each week would stop in at San Loco for good cheap craving-worthy food. Last night I had to swing by Brownies for a moment and feeling nostalgic picked up a burrito to go. It was awful. The tortilla itself was awful and that may have ruined the rest of it for me, but none of it tasted good. Now I might add, that way back when, I was broke and got the cheapest stuff on the menu (it's all cheap, but when your broke $2.50 vs. $6.00 is big). My question, has it gotten worse or are the el cheapo items just better than the too expensive back then burrito grande?
