Need to Bring a Festive Food for a St. Patrick's Day Dinner

katya | Mar 14, 201909:39 PM     9

This is my first time on Chowhound in 10+ years! I'm going to a friend's house for a St. Patrick's Day dinner. What St. Patrick's-y foodstuff should I bring that I can buy locally? (I'm in Silicon Valley.) I'm thinking appetizer, bread, baked good, dessert... The only thing I can even think of is See's "potato" or Irish Soda Bread (is that even good? and from where?) Help!
