When to Brine a Spatchcocked Roasting Chicken

I'm going to be roasting a spatchcocked chicken for Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and would like to brine the bird for 4 hours before roasting. Should I spatchcock the bird before or after brining? And why? I'm concerned about potentially over-seasoning the bird. Thanks so much.
