Bricco: A nice Italian place

My wife, child, and I had dinner last night at Bricco, on W. 56th, and I'm just writing in to recommend it. It's a moderately casual (we weren't the only ones wearing jeans) and moderately expensive (entrees in the mid-teens) place. The food was good, the staff was attentive and very pleasant, even though we were the only ones in the place with a kid.

I had a grilled octopus appetizer, which was over mesclun with a vinaigrette, and Linguini Puttanesca, which was very good, with a proper balance of strong flavors. There was also a very good artichoke hearts appetizer, and my wife was quite pleased with the special fish (I think it was sea bass).
