Went to Bricco's for the one-day-special amusee 10-course tasting menu by guest chef Joseph Ciminera of NYC. Went in with high expectations after reading the tasting menu. Unfortunately, of the first 6 courses, 4 were not what was advertised, in that they were missing components listed in the menu. I felt slightly cheated. The manager explained that the guest chef had left and the house chef "did not have the required ingredients". To his credit, he offered to pick up the tab if I stayed for the remaining courses, while I suggested that I would call it a night but pay for what I had already eaten. We compromised and I left with a standing invitation to return another time and enjoy the hospitality of the house. Perhaps I'll visit some of the other North End places before returning to Bricco.
