Briar Rose Creamery @ Portland Farmers Market at PSU

Melanie Wong | Sep 14, 201802:28 PM

Having tasted the velvet-textured, grassy Classic Chevre by Briar Rose Creamery of Dundee, OR at Whole Foods https://www.chowhound.com/post/cascad... , I was very happy to see its stand at the Portland Farmers Market at PSU https://www.chowhound.com/post/summer... . I had a chance to taste Iris, a washed rind, hard goat cheese. So savory yet mingled with spring time flavors of green grass and flowers and mouthwatering salinity. It earned a place on our dinner time cheese board. And flakes of the brittle cheese highlighted the grilled yellow watermelon salad with toasted walnuts, cumin and chili flakes.
