Where did Brett's BBQ (Plano) go?

Kirk | Oct 8, 200202:39 PM

Up until about six months ago, there was a great place -- a weekend stand, actually -- for sliced beef and pulled pork on a back road in Plano. It was called Brett's, and it consisted of a mobile smoker, a tent and a picnic table, and three or four people with napkins and change. The only way you knew they were there was a sign that said "Brett's -- We have BBQ," when they hadn't run out yet. Location was the corner of Plano Parkway and Charles St.(?), caddy-corner from, and northwest of, Prestonwood Baptist. About a year ago, the owners said they might have to move because a 7-11 was scheduled to go into the lot they leased on weekends. Now, Brett's has gone and there is a sign saying the 7-11 will be built someday. But I have no idea if Brett's still exists somewhere. Does anyone know the where Brett's might have gone?
