Breeze - lunch report

Went to Breeze for lunch today with a co-worker. It was not crowded following the praiseful Times review on Wed., so no worries on that front. Dinner is probably a different story.

We split the mango blue crab spring roll. I would call it more of a glass noodle roll, as there was no crab evident to either of us, though the sauce was lovely and it is overall refreshing.

My friend ordered the burger rare. They delivered on that, though the bun was fairly stale (he demonstrated this by tapping the bottom half of the bun which resulting in a sort of hollow, broken snare drum-like sound.) The burger is also kind of spicy for those who aren't big on that. The taro fries served alongside were not particularly warm or crispy.

I had the duck confit salad which was pretty decent at $8, except for the bone I picked out of it.

Didn't order dessert. Overall, some of the menu items look intriguing so I'd probably go back, though I prefer Pam Real Thai or Pongsri for a less fusion-y experience.
