Breakfast in Sarasota incl. Longboat Key

There are several current discussions of restaurants for lunch/dinner in the area, including www.chowhound.com/topics/459360 and www.chowhound.com/topics/492316 I thought I'd start a new topic to solicit recommendations for places to eat breakfast, including weekday breakfasts as well as weekend brunches. There are many, many places where you can get your basic eggs and pancakes; I'm more interested in places that are a bit more creative with their breakfast specialties (which can, of course, include egg and pancake dishes, but something more unusual than your standard scrambled eggs or plain pancakes like at Denny's).

I've done a search on the forum and didn't find a whole lot that's recent and breakfast-specific. Here's what I've found mentioned, and I'd be interested in comments about these and other places.

I've been to Blue Dolphin Café towards the north end of Longboat several times and enjoyed it. I've seen mentions of them on St. Armand's; are these two locations of the same restaurant?

In the dinner topics I saw a couple of mentions for Yoder's on Bahia Vista. I haven't been there, but I've looked at the menu on their website ( www.yodersrestaurant.com ); is it unusually good?

I also saw mention of a place called Word of Mouth; can anyone tell me anything about what their breakfasts are like?

Does anyone have additional recommendations for breakfast/brunch in Sarasota including Longboat Key?

Thanks in advance!
