People often ask where to have breakfast in Paris but usually it’s on the left Bank; this place is in the culinary-explosive 11th. Does anyone actually stay there? Today three of us, well, me anyway, had a “sandwich” made with what they said was focaccia but it was heavenly. The place, the Cafe Mericourt, at 22, rue de la Folie Mericourt, is packed with young’uns, noisy and a bit crazy. But compared to the AM joints in the 10th, that cater to our friends from Brexit, this has good food. Photos and more on my blog.
