I have worked in Burbank now for about 6 months. All I ever hear is the rave about "The Cottage" everyone is always saying the place is THE BOMB when it comes to breakfast burritos. A couple of times at my place of business we had breakfast brought in- and so finally i tried these awsome burritos. Well, let me tell you- I DONT SEE WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS. first of all is mostly potato and the salsa is way too hot- and beleive me im hispanic and I enjoy my salsas but this one is just annoying. lol. Well today one of my customers came in to pick up some product and said that he had gone to said place and that they were going to be closed friday, saturday, sunday and monday- THE NERVE OF THESE PEEPS- (per my customer).
Well, he shared with me (as we always talk about food and recipes) that he had gone to another place for his burrito needs. I had never heard of this place but let me tell you...
On the corner of magnolia and glenoaks is a hamburger place called Apollo Burger.
Now, the service sucked, the girl which looked like she had just gotten out of bed and wore her sleepoing clothes was the rudest person I ever had had hint customer service at me. I was in the middle of ordering and she picks up the phone and starts taking TWO oreders over the phone. As I'm walking out of the establishment I notice people are ordering outside on the windo so I decide to ease my rage and stand in that line. What I presume was a Korean lady (which might have been the owner) was very nice to me immediatly erasing my first impression of the joint and proceeded to take my breakfast burrito order. she talked me into the extra .25 cents for the hashbrown which was a good choice.

This freaking burrito was the best breakfast burrito I have ever had. The eggs were scrambled but they were real eggs (not beaters) the sausage was cooked jsut right the potatoes were just enough and the whole ensemble was very very tasty.

I never thought i'd rave about a breakfast burrito, BUT this one was to die for.
The salsa (which I recommend asking for an extra one) was TASTY, FRESH and just the right amount of spicy to warrant perfection.

Breakfast burrito $3.00 with hashbrown $3.25 very good deal
If there's a better one out there near burbank or chatsworth please let me know
