Fellow Chowhounds I need some help! I am a professional chef who used to live in SF. I am coming back to the Bay Area to staige at a high-profile restaurant for a few days, and I am ecstatic to be 'coming home'. Since I want to make this as much a 'business' trip as possible I am looking for some recommendations for breakfast, since the lodge I run in Jackson Hole serves, among other things, a pretty high-end breakfast. I am looking for inspiration here. I guess for this trip I would avoid the 'greasy spoon' unless they happen to have something really unique. I am looking for restaurants that are innovative, eclectic, but ultimately consistently good. I know my way around the bay area, but I'd like to limit the areas to SF, Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, etc. Thanks in advance and I'll let you all know how my staige went and what I found.
